Bernedoodles
There are different crosses of Bernedoodles. The most common is a 50/50 hybrid called an F1 cross... 50% purebred Bernese Mountain dog & 50% purebred Poodle. This is known to be the healthiest of the hybrid dogs as they don't pass down any or as many potential health issues that can arise from a purebred breeding of the same breed. An F1b is an F1 Bernedoodle bred back to a purebred Poodle. An F2 is two F1 Bernedoodles bred together, which is still a 50/50 Bernese & Poodle cross but with an extra set of parents. There are multigenerational crosses , but I do not have any plans of moving beyond F1, F1b and F2 breedings. I like to know the personalities of the parents and the breed so you aren't left completely guessing one what personality you will be getting. :)
Bernedoodles are very intelligent, love to play, can be mischievous (it is a puppy right of passage!), but love to snuggle, be your true companion and have a goofy side. They can have a life span of 12-15 years, when cared and fed properly from a pup and have low to non-shedding coats like their Poodle counterpart!
