Why I bred a Sheepadoodle to a Bernese ...
(and I am thrilled with the results in temperament and looks!)

Apollo (Bernese Mountain Dog) & Gidget (F1 Sheepadoodle = Old English Sheepdog X Poodle) have been thoughtfully paired for a first time litter of "Old English/OE Bernedoodles". I am very excited for this pairing as Gidget is a granddaughter to our poodle Daphne who has produced amazing Sable Tri color Bernedoodles.
Gidget is playful, an amazing and thoughtful companion in her guardian home, definitely has pep and carries her grandma's stunning Sable coloring and many characteristics that Daphne has passed on to many pups and grand pups of hers, such as: loving water, true blue companion, energetic, doting and an amazing family dog! Gidget will only be having two litters with us, and this is her first. She is constantly getting comments by every one who even passes by her about how beautiful she is, and I very much agree! I will be counting the days to see what she delivers as well as excitedly watching her pups as they grow in their new homes! (Who knows... I may keep one, I LOVE keeping my lines in my breeding program so I know temperament and personality traits from parents.)
Apollo, as our resident stud for all of our 2014 Bernedoodle litters, has produced gentle, calm, playful and certainly goofy pups. With his thick build and cuddly personality I know he and Gidget's pups will be amazing!
As a note on hair: Owners of Old English Sheepdogs have commented in both directions as their dogs being "no shedding" to "minimal shedding". I have never personally owned an OES. As an F1 Sheepadoodle, Gidget sheds very minimally when brushed, but so do poodles... when brushed. :) Has silky soft, slightly wavy hair. So paired with Apollo, they will still maintain the low to no shedding quality with less matting due to less curl.
As this is not an F1 or F1b but still a new and exciting variation of the Bernedoodle (with three breeds paired [½ Bernese, ¼ Poodle, ¼ OES] opposed to 3-4 breeds being married with an Australian Bernedoodle = Australian Labradoodle [3-4 breeds + Bernese]). I will know their personalities and temperament that is being passed to the pups, as I know their parents, grandparents and great grand mother and her parents! I will be making a new deposit list for those specifically wanting one of the pups from this litter. I will then make the pups available to Bernedoodle Deposit holders after this deposit list has been satisfied, then open to the public. I will be posting pictures, personality traits as seen, and making calls to choose your pup at 4-5 weeks of age, just like other litters. Pricing is $3,200.
