This is the information and beginning research I looked at when first starting RAW, and is now exactly how I feed my dogs and raise your pup on!
~~~
Reading the benefits, and actually SEEING them with my own dogs is incomparable!!
Feel free to ask me about my personal experience with this!
**Raw works for me at my home with my breeding program. I have done the required research to make sure I am handling it properly and that my dogs and the puppies here are getting their needed nutrients. I add probiotics to my puppy's water as well as provide them with daily NuVet wafers to ensure they are getting the added protection for typical puppy sensitive stomachs. I highly recommend you continue with probiotics and NuVet while switching them to a grain-free, high quality kibble when you receive your pup. I only suggest keeping with a raw diet if you have done your own research and feel 100% comfortable with it. While I love what the Raw diet has done for the health of my dogs and weaned puppies, it is a high priority that they are fed what each owner is comfortable with! **
RAW diet is not for everyone but it's for every dog. Raw is for young, old ,big or small
I wean my pups with Raw fresh meat.They never get a kibble diet at all ,100% raw. My pups at 6 weeks of age can break down bones and eat a whole wing. Raw has no age limit! If anyone tells you different ,they have no clue on what they are advising you on. Please ask them where they get their facts! I bet from their own opinion and nothing else. FACTS: Wild Dingos have the exact digestive system that of our beloved domesticated pets, do you think anyone brings Wild Dingos kibble? If nature intended for our pets to eat Kibble they would have given dogs square teeth, a weak jaw, a soft tongue...Kibble is like cereal, you don't need jaw power and fangs to eat them...
BARF DIET also known as RAW DIET
The Barf Diet or Raw Diet Program is about feeding dogs and the diet they evolved to eat over millions of years of genetic adaptation. Simple logic and basic biology dictates because our pets bodies require an evolutionary diet.
Once you understand the simple evolutionary principles on which the Barf diet is based you will find that feeding Barf is uniquely simple.
I use the Prey model, do not feed Supplements, or Vegetables. If you want to add veggies and supplements do at your own risk.
Premium Holistic like "natures' wild" kibble are better then commercial, but RAW MEAT is by far the healthiest..
**(I, Crystal, breeder of Savvy pups do feed peeled veggies [cucumbers, carrots, apple peels] to my adult dogs as treats... it is actually rather funny... they hear the peeler in action and they line up at the "do not cross" kitchen line until I give them the peels! It is a great way to give them treats with no recalls! And is a great way to revisit training commands... they love peels that much! )***
